This site is a tribute to Lyn Hudson, who was born in Rochford, Essex on May 02, 1954. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
My mum......
The only mum to show up at parents evening in a bright pink jumpsuit with a matching pink stripe in her hair.
The only mum that would come clubbing with me when I was 20 to The Venue in New Cross and dance the night away
My very best friend who used to join me in getting into trouble and then back me up so I could get away with it.
I'm going to miss you mum, you were the best.....My beautiful, crazy mum and a fighter to the end......my hero! <3 xx
Her time in the hospice.....
On Sunday 22 April my mum, who has stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, was admitted to the hospice, to try and get her pain management under control and ended up staying there for just over 7 weeks, until she was able to come home with me to care for her and I cannot fault the staff and the amazing work they do.
My mum is certainly a character and was apparently was the strongest patient in the hospice, pottering about helping other patients....probably because she is so stubborn and refuses to give up. She entertains the staff and other patients and recently had a wonderful day celebrating the Royal Wedding. We decorated the beds with bunting and flags, followed by a selection of homemade cakes for all. Its such a wonderful atmosphere at the hospice and I can't wish for a better place for my mum to have stayed.
The hospice is currently building a sensory garden, something mum was very passionate about watching them build each day that she was there. Her wish was for money not to be wasted on flowers for her and instead to be given to something she thought was much more important for others.
If you are able to donate a couple of pounds it would be appreciated as they are a charity and only get partial funding through the government to keep this amazing place running.
Thank you in advance

We are glad the cushion raised money for a local charity and especially in memory of your mum.
In memory of lovely Lyn - I'm glad I knew you if only on brief occasions. Never afraid to be herself. Always laughing when I saw her. Such a lovely memory to have of her.
